Voicemail: Voicemail is similar to an answering machine. You leave a personal greeting that will turn on when you are unavailable to answer the phone. After your greeting plays, the caller will be able to leave a message.
Picking up your messages:
1) Dial into your voicemail box (usually by dialing your phone number and entering a PIN)
2) Have an alert sent to your e-mail inbox that notifies you of a new voicemail. All providers give you the opportunity to listen to your message via an e-mail attachment (except for
iConnecthere, they do notify you via e-mail, but to listen to your message you must login to their website).
Stutter Tone: When you have a new message waiting to be picked up, your dial tone will have a stutter for around the first five seconds. Depending on the phone you have, you may also have a flashing light notifying you of a new message waiting.
